My name is Stefano Altamura and I originally got into photography solely with the objective to take reference photos for my work as a figurative painter. It wasn't until soon after getting my first camera in 2016 that I began surfing here in the Pacific Northwest. At this time, I also bought my first cheap water housing and dove into the frigid waters of Washington curious to shoot the waves.

Over time, this love for movement in nature and the human form began to foster an interest in whether or not dance photography could be shot using what I consider the most beautiful thing, intimate frame and composition of the anatomy. Now I try to explore this through all my photography, whether it be surf, dance or events.

Instead of capturing what you and I already see, let's accentuate the moment by bringing out the natural design of things.
